A Final Look at our New Year's Celebration!

2010 is only two days away and we are ready to celebrate with a big crafting event at Porter's!

What: New Year's Day Celebration
When: January 1st from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Where: Rexburg and Idaho Falls stores
Bring: Basic tools, snacks, a friend, and a smile. :)

Here is a recap of the projects we will be making in each department:

In scrapbooking, you can make three 1-page layouts and an 8x8 calendar for only $15!

In our beading department, you can make a one-of-a-kind convertible necklace. Choose your own beads and we will help you put it together.

We will be kicking off our Block-of-the-Month programs in our fabric department. Choose one of the quilts shown above or both!

Please join us! There will be demos and prizes throughout the day. We can't wait to see you there!

Beading Project for New Year's Day

We hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas break! Now it's time to think about crafting. Why not join us on New Year's Day for a girl's day out? Here is an example of a great beading project you can make that day.
You will choose all your own beads and we will help you put it together into this great convertible necklace. The bottom half clips on and off so you can change it to match your watch band or the outfit you are wearing. We have many beads and pendants to choose from to make your one-of-a-kind necklace!

A Closer Look at our New Year's Day Event!

As promised, here's a closer look at the three 1-page layouts that are part of the paper crafting kit for our New Year's Crop. All of these are created with papers found in an exclusive My Mind's Eye 12x12 paper pad that you will receive that day.

This shaped layout by Stephanie celebrates the love of two brothers through all kinds of weather. Die cuts and felt accents adorn this page. It's perfect for photos from any season.

Candi's layout showcases photos from an outdoor adventure her family enjoyed together. Die cut your own title for a very versatile page!

Kathy's sweet layout uses simple paper embellishments to accent the adorable photo of her children. The punched edges create a cute lacy border!
